Infinix Smart 8 HD India launch date officially revealed

Infinix Smart 8 HD will be launching in India on December 8th, as confirmed by the company. While we wait for the official launch, the brand has revealed some specifications of the phone. The Infinix Smart 8 HD is poised to bring some notable improvements and enhancements compared to its predecessor. The Infinix Smart 8HD will arrive as a successor to the Infinix Smart 7 HD, which debuted in India in April this year.

Infinix Smart 8 HD specs

• The Infinix Smart 8 HD will come with a 90Hz punch-hole display and a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a peak brightness of 500nits.
• The handset will feature a textured back panel for a comfortable grip on hands.
• The Infinix model will be available in Crystal Green, Shiny Gold, Timber Black and Galaxy White colours.

• The Infinix Smart 8 HD will be equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a UFS 2.2 storage and a Type-C charging slot.
• No other details about the phone are revealed at the moment but the Smart 7HD was launched at Rs 5,999 for the base model. We can expect a similar price range for the successor as well.

Infinix Smart 7 HD

• Display: The 7 HD flaunts a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a standard 60Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 500 nits.
• OS: The handset runs on Android 12-based XOS 12 custom skin out of the box.
• Processor: Powering the phone is the Spreadtrum SC9863A1 chipset paired with IMG8322 GPU.
• RAM and Storage: The phone packs 2GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB storage that is further expandable. There’s an additional 2GB extendable RAM.
• Connectivity: Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n,  Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and a micro USB port.
• Battery: The  7 HD packs a 5000mAh battery with 10W standard charging support.
• Cameras: The phone packs an 8MP primary rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash and an AI secondary lens. There is a 5MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats.
