  • The Redmi 13C series will be launching in India on December 6th. The launch teasers are already up on Xiaomi’s website and Amazon India. The devices could be available for sale soon after the launch but offline retail availability should be confirmed during the official event.

Redmi 13C price in India (expected)

Redmi 13C 4G is the direct successor to the Redmi 12C which launched at Rs 8,999 in India but it also faced a price drop which brought it down to under Rs 7,000 range. Hence, we expect the Redmi 13C 4G variant to launch in the Rs 8,000 to Rs 9,000 bracket.

When it comes to the Redmi 13C 5G, the phone is expected to be the cheapest 5G model by Redmi for the Indian market yet and will be positioned below the Redmi 12 5G. Since the Redmi 12 5G starts at Rs. 11,999, the Redmi 13C 5G could launch under Rs 10,000 making it one of the cheapest 5G phones available in India.

·        Redmi 13C 5G details revealed so far

  • Redmi 13C 5G will be the first 5G phone from Redmi’s C series. It will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC. This is a 6nm-class chip with 2x Arm Cortex-A76 performance cores clocked at up to 2.2GHz and 6x Arm Cortex-A55 efficiency cores running at up to 2.0GHz frequency. The CPU is coupled with Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and HyperEngine 3.0 Lite gaming engine. We have seen this chip inside Realme 11, Realme 11x, and Realme Narzo 60X.

The Redmi 13C 4G variant will be running on a different chip. While Redmi India hasn’t posted anything about that yet, we know they will have minor differences in design from the official images. The Redmi 13C 4G’s rear camera lenses sit on a rectangular island whereas the 5G ones don’t. Even the position of the flashlight lens and the “50MP AI Cam” inscription are slightly different. On the Amazon microsite, we see Redmi 13C 5G in Black and Lavender colours while the 4G model appears in Green and Black.
