Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Redmi K70 series in China very soon. There could be multiple models in the series, including the Redmi K70, Redmi K70 Pro, and Redmi K70e. Speculations are rife that these phones could be rebranded as the POCO F6 series globally. After bagging the China 3C certification, renders of the Redmi K70 have surfaced online, revealing how the device will look.
Redmi K70 design revealed
- This phone series will succeed the Redmi K60 lineup and is expected to some notable improvements.
- The handset has a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, narrow bezels, and flat edges.
- The phone has a boxy chassis with slightly rounded edges for a comfortable grip on hands.
- The volume rocker and power buttons are on the right edge.
- There is a large camera island on the back, covering the top portion. The phone has triple cameras and an LED flash. There is a Redmi logo as well.
Redmi K70 might debut as POCO F6 in India
Recently, the POCO F6 bagged the BIS certification with the model number 2311DRK481. It was also spotted on the IMEI database. This phone bears the model number 2311DRK48C, indicating that we are seeing the China version of the POCO F6 aka Redmi K70. The POCO F6 series will debut in 2024 but the Redmi K70 lineup could be launched before the end of this year.
POCO F6 specifications (expected)
- POCO F6 is expected to come with an FHD+ AMOLED display, a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+.
- The vanilla model could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with Adreno GPU.
- The chipset could be paired with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
- The POCO model could run on Android 14 based on MIUI 14 out of the box.
- The handset is expected to feature 90W fast charging support but the battery capacity details are yet to be revealed.
- Connectivity options might include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.

This phone series is expected to launch in China around the end of this year and there could be multiple models in the lineup. One among them is the phone and now new details about the phone have surfaced online, courtesy of tipster Anvin. Besides the Redmi K70e, the series will also include this phone and Redmi K70 Pro. There are reports that these will be rebranded as POCO F6 series globally.
Redmi K70e hardware details leaked
- According to Anvin, the Redmi K70e will come with the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 SoC chipset and this should offer a premium performance.
- The handset is said to be equipped with an OLED display with a 1.5K resolution.
- The Redmi K70e is tipped to pack a 5,500mAh battery and this will be paired with 90W fast charging support.
- Since these specifications cannot be confirmed officially at the moment, we suggest you take these with a pinch of salt.

- The standard Redmi K70 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, while the Pro version could get the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, as per rumours.
