  • Vivo has finally announced the Vivo X100 series and Watch 3 will launch in China on November 13th. Vivo X100 series could consist of Vivo X100, Vivo X100 Pro, and Vivo X100 Pro+, but there’s a possibility the top variant may be announced later. Meanwhile, Vivo Watch 3 teaser image highlights BlueOS, the operating system powering this wearable. Here’s everything we know about the watch and the phones.

·        Vivo X100 and Watch 3 launch details

  • Vivo X100 series and Vivo Watch 3 will debut on Nov 13th at 5 PM CST (2.30 PM IST approx). Vivo revealed this through its Weibo
  • The company has teased the 12+256GB model of the vanilla X100. A few days back, we spottedthis model on China’s JD.com at CNY 3,999 (roughly around Rs 46,200).
  • It has also been confirmed that the Vivo X100 series will launch withAndroid 14-based OriginOS 4 in China. This will be sporting ray tracing support.
  • As for the Watch 3, the company will be equipping it with its self-developed BlueOS.

Vivo X100 series specifications (expected)

  • Display:All Vivo X100 series phones could flaunt a 120Hz AMOLED screen with curved edges and a punch-hole cutout.
  • Cameras: The Pro+ model could come with a 50MP IMX989 primary camera (with OIS support and variable aperture), a 50MP IMX598 ultrawide snapper, a 50MP IMX758 telephoto shooter, and a 200MP periscope telephoto sensor with up to 10x optical zoom.

    The Vivo X100 Pro, meanwhile, could have a 12MP Sony IMX663 ultrawide shooter and a 64MP periscope zoom lens.

  • Processor: Vivo X100 Pro+ could be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Soc and the other two models could bear MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC. The AnTuTu score of the Snapdragon-borne model had leaked recently with some impressive scores.
  • Software: As mentioned already, the Chinese variants could be shipping with Android 14-based OriginOS. India and global units are likely to feature Funtouch OS instead.
  • Battery: The Pro model could be carrying a 5,400mAh battery. The battery sizes of the other two models are still not known. Vivo could arm the X100 series with up to 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging speed.

Vivo Watch 3 with BlueOS details

At the moment, we only know that the Vivo Watch 3 is going to have a circular bezel and will be shipping with BlueOS inside.

The newly announced BlueOS is compatible with devices with specs like 200MHz CPU and 32MB of RAM to 4Ghz CPU and 24GB RAM. It is based on the Rust language and supports multimodal scalability and concurrency. BlueOS is also said to facilitate secure and seamless data flow across devices and platforms thanks to the BlueXlink connectivity protocol.

In a leaked video, we get to see a honeycomb-like app library of the purported BlueOS interface. That’s about it.
