After launching the Realme GT 5 Pro smartphone recently in China, Realme has unveiled two new affordable smartphones in the home country. The Realme V50 and Realme V50s have been launched with identical specifications, including a 120Hz display, dual rear camera setup, MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, and much more.

However, it is worth mentioning that the Realme V50 is a carrier version, whereas the Realme V50s is an unlocked variant. Also, the specifications on the newly announced phone resemble quite a lot with the Realme 11x.

Realme V50, Realme V50s price in China, colours

  • The carrier-locked is priced at CNY 1,199 (around Rs 14,100) for the 6GB+128GB variant and CNY 1,399 (approx Rs 16,400) for the 8GB+256GB variant.
  • Meanwhile, the carrier-unlocked shas a price tag of CNY 1,499 (about Rs 17,600) for the 6GB+128GB option and CNY 1,799 (approx Rs 21,100) for the 8GB+256GB variant.
  • Both the newly launched smartphones are currently available for purchase on Realme China’s official website.
  • Realme has introduced theand  in Purple Dawn and Midnight Black colour choices.
  • While not officially confirmed, there is a possibility that the devices will have restricted availability solely in China, with no prospect of reaching consumers in India.

Realme launched its GT 5 Pro smartphone last week, and it looks like the brand is now preparing to unveil the Realme 12 series. The lineup will most likely include Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+ based on leaks. Now both phones have showed up on the BIS certification site, hinting at an imminent India launch.

Realme 12 series spotted on BIS

  • Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+ were spottedon the BIS certification site with the model numbers RMX3842 and RMX3840, respectively.
  • Realme 12 Pro+ was spotted on Indonesia’s SDPPI certification site with the same model number.
  • Realme is also said to be associated with the model number mentioned above.
  • The BIS certification doesn’t reveal anything about the devices but does suggest the device are coming to India soon.
  • Realme is yet to officially start teasing the next-gen numbered series.

Realme 12 Pro, Realme 12 Pro+: what we know so far

  • Realme series is tipped to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset.
  • A recent leak suggest Realme 12 Pro iwill feature a 32MP Sony IMX709 telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom. Realme 12 Pro+, on the other hand, is tipped to feature a 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
  • In terms of design, the Realme 12 series is expected to feature a circular camera layout with dual camera sensors and a rectangular periscope lens.
  • Realme 12 Pro has also been tipped to cost RMB 2,099 (approx Rs 25,000) in China for the 12GB RAM and 256GB model.
  • As for the launch timeline, Realme 12 lineup is expected to debut in the first quarter of 2024. This would be a launch event in China followed by the phones launching in global markets including India.
  • Realme 11 Pro and Realme 11 Pro+ launched in India earlier this year in June, so it would take some time for the next-gen models to debut. We should also see Realme 12 and possibly a Realme 12x in the series as well.
