iQOO 12 key specs teased ahead of upcoming India launch

While we wait for the announcement, the iQOO India division has been teasing details about the phone. The latest teaser reiterates that the iQOO 12 will be India’s first phone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

• The iQOO 12 India launch date is December 12th.
• The teaser image confirms the phone will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

• In addition to the Qualcomm chip, the iQOO flagship will also feature Vivo’s self-developed SuperComputing Q1 chip.
• The chip is claimed to optimise the performance during gaming and ensure smoother gameplay at 144Hz.
• That’s pretty much it for now but more details like the battery size, fast charging and camera setup details will be confirmed closer to the launch date.

• Display: The iQOO twelve flaunts a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM Dimming, punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter, and 3000 nits peak brightness.
• OS: The iQOO twelve runs on Android 14 with OriginOS 4.0 custom skin on top.
• iQOO 12 Battery: We get a large 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
• RAM/Storage: The chipset will be paired with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. We need to see which variants will make their way to India.

The company already confirmed the iQOO twelve will arrive in the country on December 12th. Now, a month ahead of the launch, a dedicated microsite has gone live on Amazon. This confirms the online availability of the flagship. The listing confirms some key details about the phone.

• The volume rocker and power buttons are on the right edge.
• There is also a large square camera module right in the middle of the back panel. There is also an LED flash.

• The iQOO 12 Pro is priced at RMB 4999 (around Rs 57,150) for the 16GB+256GB model, RMB 5499 (around Rs 62,900) for the 16GB+512GB variant and RMB 5999 (approx Rs 68,600) for the 16GB+1TB model.
• The phones come in Black, White, and Red colours.
