iQOO on Weiboannounced the launch timeline of the Neo 9 series. It is set to launch in December although the launch date hasn’t been revealed yet. Along with the announcement, iQOO also shared a teaser image that gives us a glimpse of the Neo 9 design.

iQOO Neo 9 is seen in a very bright red colour with a white strip running along the left side of the phone. It also looks like the smartphone is sporting a leather back. The iQOO Neo 9 series is expected to feature a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.
iQOO Neo could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, while the Pro model is tipped to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC.
The smartphone is also rumoured to offer up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
There isn’t much known about the camera details but the iQOO Neo series is expected to house a 50MP Sony IMX920 primary camera.
It’s also tipped to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
On the software front, the iQOO Neo series will most likely run Android 14 with Funtouch OS layered on top.

iQOO Neo 9 series is expected to launch very soon in China and probably expand to other markets too. The lineup will include the iQOO Neo and iQOO Neo Pro. Now, while we wait for the launch, the design outline has been revealed, courtesy of DigitalChatStation.

iQOO Neo 9 series design revealed

The tipster DigitalStation has revealed the schematics of the iQOO Neo 9 and this shows the design outline.
We can see a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter, flat edges and narrow bezels.

The volume rocker and power button are on the right edge.
The back panel of the phone has a dual-tone design, where the left edge houses two large modules to house at least triple camera sensors and an LED flash.
The phone should be available in multiple colour options.

DigitalChatStation says the iQOO Neo series will have a 6.78-inch display with narrow bezels. The plastic frame will be replaced by a metallic chassis, as per the tipster. The texture is also claimed to have been improved further and the performance is also tipped to be the main focus.

The vanilla iQOO Neo is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The Pro model could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC.
The chipset could be paired with up to 16GB RAM and 256GB storage.
