· OnePlus 12 buyer finds a bug stuck inside the back panel, OPPO support responds
- A Weibo user recently postedphotos of their newly-bought OnePlus 12 which showed a tiny bug stuck inside the phone’s back panel. This is not the only issue the device has been facing as Chinese reviewers also reported gaps between the metal frame and back glass panel of the device.
OnePlus parent OPPO’s customer service responded to the consumer who posted the photos and apologised for the issues. The team further said that they would help the consumer on an immediate basis. These issues in modern-day smartphones, especially flagships, are quite rare. Poor quality control in glass panel manufacturing could result in issues such as gaps that could harm the device’s durability. As the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R global launches near, we expect the brand to figure out these issues before the global supply of these devices begins; after all, it could otherwise put a significant dent in its value. OnePlus 11 also faced specific issues, where the device could not pass bend tests as it developed cracks near the round camera setup with relatively less pressure.
