OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R are debuting globally, and in India on January 23rd. OnePlus 12 has already debuted, while the OnePlus Ace 3 is expected to debut as the OnePlus 12R in global markets. The brand has been teasing its upcoming launch revealing key details about both the phones. Now ahead of the global debut, live images of the OnePlus 12R have appeared online.
OnePlus 12R spotted on FCC website
- OnePlus 12R has been spotted on the US FCC certification website with the model number CPH2611.
- The FCC listing doesn’t reveal much about the phone’s specs but it contains live images revealing its design.
- According to the live images, the OnePlus 12R will feature a design quite similar to its predecessor, the OnePlus 11R. The large camera module is visible at the back sitting against a square panel. It’s a triple camera setup alongside an LED flash.
- OnePlus 12R is also seen with a curved display and a centrally aligned punch-hole camera.
- The images also reveal the volume keys and power button on the right, and alert slider on the left.
- If we compare it to the OnePlus Ace 3, the design is similar, at least for the black colour variant. OnePlus Ace 3 comes in two more colour options of Blue and Gold.
OnePlus 12R specs
OnePlus has so far confirmed the 12R will pack a 5,500mAh battery, and feature a 4th-gen LTPO display panel. As for the rest of the specs, we can make an assumption based on the OnePlus Ace 3 specs.
- Display:78-inch 1.5K 8T LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 4,500nits peak brightness, 2,160Hz PWM dimming, and Dolby Vision support.
- Processor:Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
- RAM and storage:Up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
- Software:Android 14-based ColorOS 14. 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security patches.
- Battery, charging:5,500mAh battery with 100W wired charging support.
- Cameras:50MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, 2MP macro sensor, 16MP selfie camera.
OnePlus Ace 3 is priced at 2,599 yuan (Rs 30,200 approx) for the base model in China. Pricing for global markets and India will be different, and we’ll find out once the device lands here. But it’s very likely that we are seeing the OnePlus Ace 3 launch as the OnePlus 12R in India.

OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R are set to debut globally and in India on January 23rd. The latter is believed to be a rebrand of the recently launched OnePlus Ace 3, while the OnePlus 12 flagship debuted in China. Now, while we wait for the announcement later this month, the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R price details have been tipped, courtesy of a tech blog ‘TechPlus’.
OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R prices (rumoured)
- According to TechPlus, the base OnePlus 1 variant will retail for $799 (approx Rs 66,400) in the USfor the base 12GB + 256GB model and $899 (around Rs 74,700) for the 16GB/512GB.
- The OnePlus was priced at $699 for the 8GB and 128GB model.
- On the other hand, the OnePlus 12R will start at $499 (around Rs 41,500)for the 8GB RAM and 128GB model and $599 (around Rs 49,800) for the 16GB/256GB variant.

- Display:The sports a 6.82-inch QHD+ 2K OLED LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits of peak brightness.
- Battery:There is a 5,400mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support.
- Chipset:The flagship OnePlus phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with Adreno GPU.
- RAM and Storage: Up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, which may not be further expandable.
- Rear camera:The handset features a 50MP Sony LYT-808 OIS main camera, a 48MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64MP OV64B periscope lens with 3x telephoto zoom lens.
- Selfie camera:There is a 32MP camera on the front for selfies and video chats.

- OS: The handset is likely to boot Android 14-based ColorOS out of the box.
