OnePlus starts rolling out Android 14 update to OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite users in India

OnePlus is now rolling out OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14 to OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite users. Here’s what’s new.

OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite’s OxygenOS 14 update has been in closed and open beta testing for a while now. The brand is now rolling out a stable update for those who participated in the testing. General users are expected to get the update a little later but the wait won’t be long.

Here’s all that’s new in OxygenOS 14 update for the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite, as detailed in an official forum post by the brand.

  • Adds Aqua Dynamics, a way of interaction with morphing forms that allows you to view up-to-date information at a glanc]
  • Smart efficiency: Adds File Dock, where you can drag and drop to transfer content between apps and devices.
  • Cross-device connectivity: Improves Clone Phone to allow quicker device verification and data migration. Improves Shelf by adding more widget recommendations.
  • Security and privacy: Improves photo and video-related permission management for safer access by apps.
  • Performance optimization: Adds support for app-specific refresh rates to improve user experience.
  • Aquamorphic Design: Upgrades Aquamorphic Design with a natural, gentle, and clearer color style for a more comfortable color experience. Adds Aquamorphic-themed ringtones and revamps the system notification sounds. Improves system animations by making them even smoother.

  • A Weibo user recently postedphotos of their newly-bought  which showed a tiny bug stuck inside the phone’s back panel. This is not the only issue the device has been facing as Chinese reviewers also reported gaps between the metal frame and back glass panel of the device.

OnePlus parent OPPO’s customer service responded to the consumer who posted the photos and apologised for the issues. The team further said that they would help the consumer on an immediate basis. These issues in modern-day smartphones, especially flagships, are quite rare. Poor quality control in glass panel manufacturing could result in issues such as gaps that could harm the device’s durability.
