POCO X6 5G design revealed in leaked unboxing video; processor confirmed officially

POCO India has revealed the POCO X6 Pro 5G will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra. And, POCO’s global handle has disclosed the vanilla model will be running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. The company should be gradually revealing other details about the two phones. Well, if not for the official source, we also have leaks like this alleged POCO X6 unboxing video that shows the phone in flesh and the in-box items. Here, have a look.

POCO X6 5G design, colours, and box contents

  • Box contents:In this video shared by Sudhashu Ambhore, we can see POCO X6 5G unboxed within a retail store. Besides the phone, the box also consists of a case, a charging adapter, a USB-C cable, a SIM ejector pin and a user manual.
  • Design and colours:We get a look at the phone’s black and white colours. We are also expecting a blue variant. The handset has a familiar POCO phone appearance. The rear camera island is its identity mark if you will. Two lenses are vertically sitting one above the other while the third one sits to their right. Below it, there is an LED module. The portion below the island is very glossy. There is a 5G and a POCO branding too.

POCO X6 5G specifications (expected)

  • Display:The device could have a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
  • Processor:As already mentioned, it could be propelled by Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. Another tipster, Mukul Sharma also corroborated this information through an X post. From it, we also learn that the POCO M6 Pro could debut MediaTek Helio G99-Ultra SoC.
  • Memory: From the video shared above, we see the phone could come in a 12GB RAM and a 256GB ROM variant. There could be other models too.
  • Software: It is believed that the phone could launch with Android 13-based MIUI 14 OS.
  • Battery: Inside the phone, there could be space for a 5100mAh battery. It could be supporting a 67W charger.
  • Cameras: The back of the phone could have three cameras viz., a 64MP sensor, an 8MP sensor, and a 2MP sensor. For selfies and video calls, you could get a 16MP sensor on the front.
  • POCO X6 5G gets certified on TDRA and NBTC.
  • It is believed to be rebranded Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G (China).
  • It could be powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC.
  • POCO X6 5G has been making appearances on certification websites ahead of its impending launch. So, after BIS and IMDA, the phone has now shown up on the TDRA certification site of UAE and the NBTC certification site of Thailand. This suggests the phone could have a global launch any time soon. From previous leaks and rumours, we believe the POCO X6 5G would be Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G from China rebranded for the global market. Here’s what we know about it.

  • POCO X6 5Gwith model number 23122PCD1G has been certified by UAE’s TDRA and Thailand’s NBTC. This was spotted by MySmartPrice. Besides the common model number, we don’t get to scrape much from these two listings.

However, as mentioned already, we do know some details about the POCO X6 5G. For instance, its Geekbench result revealed it’s powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, coupled with 12GB of RAM and Android 13 software Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G specifications

  • Processor:Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G ships with Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC and Adreno TM 710 GPU.
  • Memory: It comes in with 8GB/12GB LPDDR4X RAM or 16GB LPDDR5 RAM. The storage options include 128GB/256GB of UFS 2.2 technology and 512GB of UFS 3.1 technology.
  • Battery: Under the hood, the phone has a 5,000mAh cell that supports 67W fast charging.
  • Software: On top of this hardware setup, there is Android 13-based MIUI 14.
  • Display: It has a 6.67-inch 120Hz panel with 1.5K resolution and 1800 nits of peak brightness.
  • Cameras:On the back, there is a 200MP+8MP+2MP triplet and on the front, there is a 16MP selfie shooter.
  • Miscellaneous features: The paraphernalia also consists of Dolby Atmos speakers, IP55 dust and water resistance, and an in-display fingerprint reader.
