POCO X6 5G receives BIS and IMDA certifications, launch could be imminent

The POCO X6 5G series is known to be in the works as the phones have made multiple appearances online. There are speculations that the lineup could include the POCO X6 and POCO X6 Pro and these could be the rebrand of Redmi Note 13/ Note 13 Pro 5G models. Now, the vanilla POCO X6 5G has been spotted on the BIS certification with the model number 23122PCD1I. This suggests the launch of the phone could be nearing.

POCO X6 5G global model has also bagged the IMDA certification with the model number 23122PCD1G. The ‘G’ at the end represents the global model.

  • The IMDA listing also has the same model number but with ‘G’ at the end.
  • This is a clear indication that the launch in India and global markets could be around the corner.
  • Both certifications don’t reveal much else about the phones at the moment.

Recently, tipster Kacper Skrzypek, who is usually accurate with Xiaomi and POCO leaks, reported that the POCO X6 5G will be a rebrand of the Redmi Note 13 Pro from China. This is a bit surprising considering the POCO X6 Pro was believed to be a rebrand of the Redmi Note 13 Pro. The tipster has also shared a screenshot from the MIUI code to back his claim. The image shows the moniker as well as the model number.

Redmi Note 13 and Note 13 Pro specifications

  • Display:Redmi Note 13 and Note 13 Pro sport the same 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter.
  • Processor:Redmi Note 13 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC. The vanilla Redmi Note 13 Pro ships with the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC.
  • RAM and storage:Up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, which is further expandable via a microSD card.
  • Software:Android 13-based MIUI 14 out-of-the-box.
  • Cameras:In the photography department, the Redmi Note 13 Pro features a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. The Redmi Note 13 has a 100MP primary camera and a 2MP macro unit. There is a 16MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats.
  • Battery, charging:Redmi Note 13 Pro has a 5,100mAh battery with 67W fast charging. The Note 13 comes with a 5,000 battery but with 33W fast charging.

POCO C65 price, key specs revealed

POCO C65 starts at $109 (Rs 9,100 approx) for the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It also comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, and this variant is priced at $129 (Rs 10,800 approx). This is the early bird pricing for the POCO C65. The smartphone will be available in three colour options of Blue, Green and Black.

In terms of specs, the POCO C65 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G65 processor. It also comes with a 50MP triple camera setup at the back. Rest of the specs will be revealed on November 5th when the phone goes official.

POCO is yet to reveal which global markets the C65 will launch in as the phone has been spotted on multiple certification sites. These include the UAE’s TDRA certification website, Singapore’s IMDA website, and the FCC. The POCO C65 is also rumoured to feature a USB Type-C port, and run MIUI 14 based on Android 13. The phone is expected to come with NFCas well based on the IMDA listing.

There’s speculation that the POCO C65 will be a rebranded Redmi 13C that’s slated to debut soon. Xiaomi usually follows this strategy for its Redmi and POCO phones
