OnePlus Ace 3 to come in gunmetal grey glass body, tipster suggests

The smartphone was recently spotted on Geekbench, and now its design details and key specs have been revealed by a tipster. This phone will succeed the OnePlus Ace 2 smartphone that launched earlier this year in February.

• This phone will come in a metal frame that’s similar to the matte aluminium alloy frame on the Apple Watch, according to the tipster Digital Chat Station. The smartphone is also saidto come in a ‘stylish’ gunmetal grey glass body as well.

The tipster adds that the this phone  will feature a 1.5K curved display. This phone  is also said to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is last year’s flagship chipset. This makes sense since the  this phone sits below the flagship OnePlus 12 that is also slated to debut soon. The same chipset was also revealed on Geekbench for the OnePlus Ace 3.

• Display:This phone is expected to feature a 6.74-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and PWM dimming support.
• Processor:The smartphone is tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
• RAM and storage:It could launch with up to 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
• Cameras:This phone is expected to house a triple camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor, an 8MP ultrawide OmniVision OV8D10 sensor and a 32MP Sony IMX709 telephoto lens. For selfies, it could feature a 16MP front camera.
• Battery, charging:It is tipped to pack a 5,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging support.
• Software:On the software front, the smartphone will most likely run ColorOS 14 based on Android 14 out-of-the-box.
• Other features:We can expect an in-display fingerprint sensor, 5G, a USB Type-C port, IP68 rating, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC support on the OnePlus Ace 3.

OnePlus Ace 3 specifications have been leaked quite a few times, and the phone has now been spotted on benchmarking website, Geekbench. The listing confirms the OnePlus Ace 3’s chipset, which is in line with past leaks. We also learn about the phone’s RAM and OS as we await its launch, which is likely early next year.

OnePlus Ace 3 Geekbench details

• A OnePlus smartphone with the model number PJD110 has been spottedby MySmartPrice on Geekbench, and it’s said to be associated with the OnePlus Ace 3.
• The Geekbench listing reveals the phone is powered by an octa-core chipset codenamed “kalama” that’s for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
• It also shows the OnePlus Ace 3 running on Android 13 and with 16GB of RAM. As per rumours, the phone could come with up to 24GB of RAM.
• This corroborates past leaks that suggested the OnePlus Ace 3 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
• On Geekbench, OnePlus Ace 3 scored 1,723 points in the single-core test and 5,164 points in the multi-core test.
