Smartphone brand POCO expanded its product lineup earlier this year by introducing the the POCO X5 5G and the POCO X5 Pro 5G. The company is now gearing up to launch the POCO X6 Pro 5G.

The upcoming phone’s recent appearances on certification platforms like NBTC and BIS hint at an imminent launch, and further confirmation comes as the POCO X6 Pro 5G emerges on the FCC certification website. It is worth mentioning that the certification also hints at the RAM, storage, and charging details of the POCO X6 Pro 5G.

 

POCO X6 Pro 5G FCC certification website details

  • The POCO X6 Pro 5G has been featured on the FCC certification website under the model number 2311DRK48G, where the ‘G’ denotes the global variant.
  • The FCC listing discloses two storage configurations for the device – 8GB of RAM paired with 256GB of storage, and 12GB of RAM with 512GB of storage.

POCO X6 Pro 5G will launch as Redmi K70e globally

Details on the POCO X6 Pro 5G remain limited, but it is expected that it may come as a rebranded version of the Redmi K70e. The Redmi K70e, launched in China last month, shares an identical model number of 2311DRK48C (with ‘C’ representing the Chinese variant).

Additionally, the Indian variant of the POCO X6 Pro, distinguished by the model number 2311DRK48I (with ‘I’ signifying the Indian variant), has successfully obtained BIS certification. This alignment in model numbers across different variants hints at a potential connection between the POCO X6 Pro 5G and the Redmi K70e. Here’s a quick look at the Redmi K70e specifications.

  • POCO X6 Pro 5G has been spotted on Thailand’s NBTC certification site. Here, the smartphone carries the model number 2311DRK48G along with the listing, clearly mentioning that it’s the POCO X6 Pro 5G.
  • According to a report by The Tech Outlook, the Indian variant of the POCO X6 Pro 5G was spotted on BIS with the model number 2311DRK48I, and the Chinese variant with the model number 2311DRK48C is said to launch as the Redmi K70e later today.
  • Going by these sightings, the POCO X6 Pro 5G is expected to launch as the rebranded version of the Redmi K70e globally, and in India. This also changes the previous speculationthat the Redmi K70e will launch globally as a rebranded POCO F6 5G.

POCO X6 Pro 5G specs (expected)

As for the POCO X6 Pro 5G’s specifications, we should know more after the Redmi K70e debuts. Redmi K70e is expected to feature a 6.67-inch OLED 1.5K display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It could be powered by the Dimensity 8300 Ultra, and launch with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The smartphone is also tipped to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. Rumours also suggest a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor at the back. For selfies, it could house a 16MP front camera

Rest of the POCO X6 series is also expected to launch as rebranded Redmi phones. There’s a POCO X6 Neo 5G in the works that could launch as a rebranded Redmi Note 13R Pro 5G, and the POCO X6 5G, which would launch with the same specs as the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G.
