Realme 12 Pro series is reportedly in the works according to various rumours and leaks. Realme India had also teased the launch of a new flagship phone that could be the Realme 12 Pro series. There’s no confirmation yet but the Realme 12 Pro series is expected to debut in India by the end of this month or sometime in February.

Ahead of the launch, 91mobiles has learnt the chipset details of the Realme 12 Pro+, the top-end model in the series.

Realme 12 Pro+ chipset

Realme 12 Pro+ will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. This hasn’t been officially confirmed but according to information shared by tipster Ishan Agarwal, the phone is indeed packing the chipset.

The + would be joining the Redmi Note 13 Pro as the latter is also powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. Redmi will however beat the since it’s launching in India on January 4th.

Realme 12 Pro series: what we know so far

  • Leaks suggest the Realme 12 series will feature a circular camera layout at the back with dual camera sensors and a rectangular periscope lens.
  • The smartphone is expected to house a 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
  • As for the Realme 12 Pro, it could come with a 32MP Sony IMX709 telephoto sensor offering 2x optical zoom.
  • The Realme 12 Pro is also expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC.

The Realme 12 Pro series is rumoured to launch in India by month-end or in the month of February. There’s no official word on the smartphone series yet but we’re expecting to see teasers come up soon. But the Realme 12 Pro series has already been spotted on the BIS certification site, and TDRA as well. Since Realme has also started teasing a new flagship phone launch for India, it’s most likely the Realme 12 Pro series.

  • Realme’s upcoming series has now received TRDA certification (viaGizmochina). This is not the first time these models have been spotted on certification websites, as the series was earlier listed on India’s BIS and Indonesia’s TKDN portals.
  • An unconfirmed sourceshared the model names earlier, and TDRA certification corroborates the same. The RMX3840 model number belongs to th, which is expected to feature a telephoto zoom camera. , on the other hand, is RMX3842. These certification listings could mean an unveil within the next couple of months. The timing won’t be unusual as there was about an 8-month gap between the launch of and the  too. The phones are expected to closely rival Redmi’s offering in their home country, China.
