Samsung is preparing a much-awaited addition to this year’s A-series with the Samsung Galaxy A55. The device is expected to make its way to the global market in the coming weeks, and we now have a first look at the official renders of the device. The new report also confirmed the processor that will power this device.

Samsung Galaxy A55 official renders, specifications

  • A reportfrom Android Headlines has given us our first official look at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A55.
  • The device will be launched in three colour options:Awesome Iceblue, Awesome Lilac, and Awesome Navy.
  • The phone will adopt Samsung’s new ‘Key Island’ design languagefor its affordable devices, with the power and volume buttons bulged out of the metal frame.
  • The device is also expected to feature Samsung Semiconductor’s brand-new Exynos 1480 chipset, fabricated on the 4nm process.
  • The chipset features Samsung’s custom Xclipse 530 GPU, co-developed with AMD.
  • The Galaxy A55 variants will house up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

While the report does not shed light on other specifications, the device could get a 50MP primary camera alongside telephoto and ultrawide sensors in terms of photographic capabilities. A 32MP front camera, similar to its predecessor, could be at the front for selfies. The device could also feature an IP67 or a higher rating. Even Samsung flagships tend to stick to 25W fast charging, we doubt the A55 will present any upgrades on this front.

Meanwhile, the South Korean conglomerate is getting ready to unveil its flagship Galaxy S24 series on January 17th. The devices are expected to come with the new ‘Galaxy AI’ features, but it remains to be seen if the same will make its way to Samsung’s A-series devices. Samsung also launched the Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A25 in India last month with the same key island design.

Samsung is reportedly working on a new Galaxy-A series smartphone, the Galaxy A55, which was spotted on the 3C certification site recently. The device is also expected to come with an Exynos chipset. Now a new leak reveals 5K renders of the Galaxy A55 along with key specifications of the phone.

 

Samsung Galaxy A55 5K renders

  • According to a fresh set of 5K renders sharedby MSP and OnLeaks, the Galaxy A55 will feature a flat display with a center punch-hole camera. The side frames are also flat similar to the Galaxy S23 series.
  • At the back, there’s a triple camera setup aligned vertically on the left side. The power button and volume keys are on the right side of the phone with the SIM tray on top. The USB-C port and speaker are located on the bottom.
  • The report adds that the Galaxy A55 will feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
