Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24+ Indian variants tipped to get Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra  is debuting on January 17th. The flagship lineup will most likely include the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra. This time too, Samsung is said to use both the Snapdragon and Exynos chipsets for the Galaxy S24 series. But the Indian variants might just get the better of the two, according to a new leak.

Samsung Galaxy S24 series Indian variant chipset leaked

• Samsung is reportedly planning to launch the Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S24 models in India.
• According to tipsterTarun Vats, the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra will launch with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in India.
• The vanilla Galaxy S24 will feature the in-house Exynos 2400 chipset, the tipster added. This isn’t official but the tipster alleges the information is 99 percent confirmed but only for India.
• The Indian variants have always received the Exynos models except for the Galaxy S23 series, which used only the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
• This is good news for Indian users as the Snapdragon models have been proven to perform better than their Exynos counterparts.

But it’s still best to wait for the official confirmation, which we’ll know in less than two weeks. Samsung has so far teased Galaxy AI set to arrive with the Galaxy S24 series. There have been leaks suggesting several and powerful AI features for the Galaxy S24 series.

The latest leak comes shortly after colour options for the Galaxy S24 Indian variants were leaked. The Galaxy S24 is reportedly getting three colour options of Black, Gray, Yellow, and Violet. The Galaxy S24+ is said to launch in Black and Violet colours. As for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, this one is tipped to launch in Titanium/Gray, Black, Yellow and Violet colours. Samsung is also reportedly launch online exclusive colour options in Orange, Green and Blue for all three models.

• According to tipster Ice Universe, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra would feature a 50MP sensor with 5x optical zoom.

• TheSamsung Galaxy S24 Ultra tipster has shared an image on Weibo and this shows the EXIF data of the 5x zoomed-in image from the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
• This reveals the flagship would be capable of capturing photos at a full 50MP resolution of 6120 x 8160 pixels in zoomed-in shots.
• This also suggests the telephoto camera on the Galaxy S24 Ultra could be upgraded to 50MP from a 10MP sensor. This should result in better-quality images.
