Tecno Phantom V Fold is the brand’s first foldable phone and was launched during the MWC conference in 2023. Now, the brand is rumoured to be working on a successor, dubbed the Tecno Phantom V2 Fold. The foldable has now been spotted on Geekbench benchmarking platform and this reveals some key hardware specifications. To recall, the handset earlier appeared on the IMEI database.

• The Geekbench listing, asspotted by MySmartPrice, shows the phone is running an octa-core chipset speculated to be the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC.
• The chipset has four cores clocked at 1.8 GHz, three cores clocked at 2.85 GHz, and a primary core clocked at up to 3.20 GHz. The source code section reveals Mali-G710 MC2 GPU.

While the company hasn’t mentioned any launch timeline officially. GSMChina reports that the foldable might launch as early as Q1 2024. There are chances we might see an announcement around MWC 2024 as it did with the predecessor.
