The series, including the  is set to launch in China on December 14th. Ahead of that, a number of leaks, and speculations have surfaced online even as the company itself teased colour variants of the upcoming series. Now, Vivo has revealed the camera specifications of the Vivo  series ahead of the official announcement.

Vivo S18, Vivo S18 Pro camera details

  • Vivo has revealed that its  will feature a 50MP selfie camera with dual soft lights for improved night photography.
  • Teasers on Weibosuggest that the smartphones will share the same primary and ultrawide sensors as the Vivo X100 model.
  • The Vivo  will include a 50MP VCS Sony IMX 920 primary lens with OIS and a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
  • Additionally, the Pro variant will feature the same telephoto sensor introduced with the Vivo X90S, a 12MP Sony IMX 663 with 2x optical zoom.
  • The smartphone brand has previously mentioned the inclusion of a Blue Heart AI model to enhance photography, along with VCS and portrait algorithms from the Vivo X100 series smartphones.

  • Chipsets:The Vivo is likely to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, while the Vivo S18 Pro might come with a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Plus chipset.
  • Charging:Although specific details about the battery size are not available, it’s anticipated that the regular Vivo S18 will support 80W fast charging, and the Vivo  Pro may boast a faster 100W charging speed.

Vivo S18 colour options

As per a recent report, new images reveal the  in light blue and dark gray colours. Rumoured colour options include Huaxia Red, Black, Purple, and Sea Green. The back of the smartphone features a flower pattern, with Vivo stating that it aims to “interpret oriental aesthetics.”

In addition to the oriental design, the images showcase a squircle ring light located just below the rear camera island. This feature is suggested to enhance photography and video capture in low-light conditions. The smartphone appears notably slim in the photos.

Update: The Vivo series will launch in China on December 14th, as confirmed by the VP of Products at the company. The new lineup will come with Vivo’s own AI named ‘BlueLM’ because of the logo’s colours. ‘LM’ probably means ‘language model’. The phone will feature three cameras and a square Aura Light, which is the largest for a Vivo S model. There will also be a Vivo Pro and Vivo e. The company will also introduce the Vivo TWS 3e earbuds. Vivo series is expected to launch in China quite soon and the lineup might include two models: the Vivo and Vivo Pro. A recent leak has revealed the specifications of both models, including the chipset, RAM and storage options.   • The teaser images show the Vivo  and S18 Pro will be available in brand new “Flower Like Brocade”, a colour which is inspired by flowers from the oriental artistic conception.
  • The teaser images show the device will have a large rectangular-shaped camera module on the back, with the top portion housing triple camera sensors, while the bottom portion has soft light and an LED flash for low light.
  • The front houses a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter and curved edges.
  • The back panel of the phone is also curved for better grip on hands. The volume rocker and power buttons are on the right edge.
