OnePlus 12R will feature a bigger battery, display confirmed too

  • OnePlus 12R is confirmed to bring an LTPO 4.0 screen.
  • The phone will also have the “biggest battery ever fitted to a OnePlus phone”.
  • The OnePlus 12R specs we know so far suggest a promising battery life. Here’s how.
  • OnePlus India has announced the upcoming OnePlus 12R display technology and battery size ahead of the phone’s launch on January 23rd. The company posted on X that the phone will carry the biggest battery ever on a OnePlus phone. To aid the battery life, the LTPO 4.0 screen technology is also present. Let’s see how.

·        OnePlus 12R display and battery specs confirmed

  • OnePlus12R has an LTPO 4.0 display that is said to be smoother in terms of fast refresh rate. It can cover a broader range of refresh rates than LTPO 3.0. So, for instance, the display could switch between 120Hz, 90Hz, and 75Hz seamlessly.
  • As you may know, this switching between refresh rates depending on what’s on-screen helps in conserving battery life. So, the OnePlus 12R’s LTPO 4.0 panel should be a meaningful update from a power efficiency standpoint.
  • What raises our expectations is the freshly-revealed 5,500mAh batteryinside the phone. OnePlus punctuates this being the biggest ever battery on one of its phones. For comparison, the 11R only had a 5,000mAh cell.
